但咱们貌似一直忘了讨论一个近在眼前的热门Topic——teachers~

今天跟着你们可爱的杨依老师一起唠唠关于“老师”的嗑~

 

雅思口语中关于teachers的常见话题有：

Do you have a favorite teacher?

In your opinion, what makes a good teacher?

Do you like to work as a teacher in the future?

Do you agree that teachers are important to us?

好的老师应该具备

哪些qualities and skills？

 

①老师应该擅长自己教授的科目。这样他们才能教给学生abundant and accurate expertise。

②老师要能化繁为简。他们必须creative in teaching, 而且have ways to draw attention from students and make complicated things easy to comprehend。

③老师必须非常耐心。他们要patient，还要provide extra explanations in tutorials until students fully understand what’s taught in class。如果他们get angry甚至lose temper，学生自然就不再提问了。

④老师要公平。要做到treat all students equally，不能abandon或者discriminate任何一个学生。

大家在回答这道题时，结合个人的经历和感受，从上面几点当中挑选一个来说，记得使用第三人称单数形式或者过去时。

雅思口语考试当中，经常有类似的问题：

问“某个工作好不好”。

 

回答“此类”问题，都可以套用以下思路：

Do they make much money? 

Do they often feel tired? 

Are they well-respected by the public?

Do they have much job satisfaction? 

以咱们“teachers”话题为例：

①老师们有long vacations，很多人会特别羡慕他们。

②他们enjoy a good reputation声望很高，因为他们contribute much to the society。

③他们会有成就感feel a sense of accomplishment，因为他们看到学生study better and have achievements，

回答这个题还另有角度：

——说自己已经决定从事别的某个职业因为更感兴趣而且跟专业相关；

——说认为自己unqualified for this occupation，不能胜任这个工作因为自己学业不精或者不够耐心。

老师重要吗？？？

当然重要！！！

 

老师往往play an essential role：

①他们教学生knowledge and skills。因此，学生可以有一技之长，才能找到一个decent job体面的工作。

②他们给予学生supervision and motivation。老师教他们life lessons做人的道理，给他们树立了榜样set a good example，是学生的role model。
