大学英语四级翻译时态--苏盼

大学英语四级翻译部分是同学们非常头痛的部分，经常有大部分同学在考试中直接放弃，其中为时态非常苦恼，怎么一下子一般现在时，怎么一下子一般过去时，怎么又变成现在完成时，时态捉摸不定，脑瓜疼啊脑瓜疼。一般现在时使用情况大家都比较清楚，今天就主要为大家梳理一下大学英语四级中一般过去时，现在完成时。

一．一般过去时

一般过去时表示过去某个时间里发生的动作或状态；过去习惯性、经常性的动作、行为。在2017年至2019年中均有考到一般过去时，常体现于以下几个信号词：“曾”，“过去”，“东汉”，“古代”等。

1.据记载，共有72位帝王曾来此游览。(2017.12)

A total of 72 emperors were recorded as visiting it.

2.公交车曾是中国人出行的主要交通工具。(2018.6)

Bus used to be a major means of transportation for Chinese people.

3.和睦的大家庭曾非常令人羡慕。(2019.12)

Harmonious extended families used to be very enviable.

4.过去，乘飞机出行对大多数中国人来说是难以想象的。(2018.6)

In the past, traveling by air was unimaginable for most Chinese people.

5.过去四世同堂并不少见。(2019.12)

In the past, it was not uncommon for four generations of a family to live under the same roof.

6.灯笼起源于东汉，最初主要用于照明。(2019.6)

Chinese lanterns, originating in the Eastern Han Dynasty, were primarily used for lighting in early times.

二．现在完成时

现在完成时是过去的动作或状态持续到现在，对现在造成的影响，可能持续发生下去。此时态是翻译部分几乎每年必考的时态，需要大家重视起来，常体现于以下几个信号词：“在过去几年来”，“在过去几十年来”，“几千年来” “近年来”“自……以来”，“已成为”，“已经变得”等。

1.在过去几十年里，政府采取了各种措施防止灾害发生。(2017.6)

In the past few decades, the government has taken various measures to prevent flood disasters from occurring.

2.过去几年来，移动支付市场在中国蓬勃发展。(2018.12)

In the past few years, the mobile payment market has flourished in China.

3.几千年来，长江一直被用于供水，运输和工业生产。(2017.6)

For thousands of years, the river has been used for water, transportation and industry.

4.近年来，由于私家车数量不断增多，城市的交通问题越来越严重。(2018.6)

In recent years, due to the increasing number of private cars, traffic problems in cities have become increasingly severe.

5.近年来，中国有越来越多的城市开始建设地铁。(2018.6)

In recent years, a growing number of Chinese cities have begun to construct subways.

6.由于通信网络的快速发展，中国智能手机用户数量近年来以惊人的速度增长。(2018.12)

Due to the rapid development of communication networks, the number of smartphone users in China have grown at an amazing rate in recent years.

7.上世纪70年代末中国改革开放以来，珠江三角洲已成为中国和世界主要经济区域和制造中心之一。(2017.6)

Since the launch of China’s reform and opening up policy in the late 1970s, the delta region has become one of the leading economic regions and major manufacturing centers of China and the world.

8.自上世纪90年代安装缆车以来，参观人数大大增加。(2017.12)

Since cable cars were installed in the 1990s, the mountain’s visitor numbers has surged.

9.一些年轻人已经变得十分上瘾，以至于忽视了与家人和朋友面对面的交流。(2018.12)

Some young people have become so addicted to their mobile phones that they have neglected face-to-face communication with their family and friends.

10.泰山如今已成为中国一处主要的旅游景点。(2017.12)

Today Mount Tai has become one of the major tourist attractions in China.
