【真题解析】

题一：是否喜欢自己的名字？

解答思路：用yes或者no正面回答，然后给出理由

喜欢的原因有：

sound good（好听）

easy to remember（好记）

sentimental value （情感价值）

不喜欢的原因有：

strokes（笔画）太多不好写（difficult to write）

feminine（阴性的，娇柔的）

butch（男性化的）

题二：名字是否有特殊含义？

注意：描述时使用 character（汉字）而不是word , 使用 given name而不是 first name

相关表达：

indicate the time / place that I was born

…表明自己的出生时间或地点

gave me the name with the hope that I could be ... in the future

取名时给予了寄托了…的愿望…

题三：通常谁来取名？

注意：切忌“答题过简无话可说”，这类问题回答时应该注意拓展和“挖掘”

答题示范：

It’s been a tradition for thousands of years that children’s names are given by fathers because they’re normally bread-winners. Besides that, some parents are rather superstitious, so they ask for advice from fortune-tellers.

题四：什么样的名字比较常见？

解答思路：结合题二的问题，可联想到表达父母期望的名字比较常见

答题示范：

Basically, those names that express parents’ sincere wishes enjoy much popularity and those names mean bravery, wisdom, health, grace and so forth.
