The line graph and the bar chart give the information and forecast about the vehicle and the CO2 emission in England and Wales between 2000 and 2020.
分析:此题线图和柱图主要都是以动态趋势为主。幅图描述交通工具数量的上升只需注意时态变化,时间有涉及过去和将来。第二幅柱图按动态变化趋势分类,cars和trucks都持续上升,buses和vans2000年到2010年有上升,2010到2020年维持不变。除了动态变化之外也会涉及四种交通工具的静态对比(汽车排放量,公交最少)。

Nowadays, more and more old people who need employment have to compete for the same job with young people. What problems will be caused? And what are the solutions?
分析:此题为报告型文章,问到的是关于年长者与年轻人职场竞争所产生的问题和解决方案。破题思路可分别从年长者和年轻人两方面去入手思考,其实也就是分析年轻人和年长者在的优缺点。对于年长者所带来的问题是他们思想保守接受新事物和适应新环境的能力远低于年轻人,对于年轻人的问题是他们不如年长者有社会阅历和工作经验。本题涉及就业领域,所以解决方案也可以从就业者本身或者招聘公司或者政府去思考。
The leader directors of organizations are often older people. But some people say that young people can also be a leader. What is your opinion?(2015.1.10)
Sample answer:
With the tendency that it is increasingly difficult for people to hunt for jobs, the fierce competition between young people and older people in employment is now becoming an obvious issue. This essay will investigate about the consequences it may lead to for both of them and bring forth some corresponding solutions.
As for older people, one of the problem is that they are usually confronted with higher pressure from being familiar with fresh issues at work. More precisely, the elderly may have difficulties in giving access to new concepts and ideas that are never heard of before or adapting to some new working environments, for the old may generally be regarded as conservative in thinking and less flexible in dealing with problems. For example, the operation of office-software such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint is a necessity while it may be a tough challenge for older employees.
In terms of young people, they, especially the new graduates, might be deprived of opportunities to exert and develop their abilities as they are unlikely to be experienced in work, society and interpersonal relationship as the old counterparts. One of the requirements of many well-paid jobs companies provide, to a large extent, includes the possession of rich work experience. Consequently, many job opportunities are not easily accessible to young people who have just graduated from universities.
The possible solutions are at personal and governmental level. All employees, regardless of age, should be encouraged to equip themselves with new knowledge and skills so that they can survive in this highly competitive society or even excel other job seekers. Another important thing concerning government is that policies providing more jobs, internships and trainings should be implemented to alleviate the employment pressure. With these policies, the old can learn how to operate a software or a machine and the young can accumulate adequate experience to get well prepared for their future careers.
