2021年3月托福独立口语考情分析及范文-郑宁馨

2021年3月一共进行了7场托福线下考试，周末5场周中2场，在这7场考试中，只有3月10日的独立口语考题是一道全新的考题，其他均属于旧题复用或旧题新考，且其中有4场考试为旧题复用，2021年3月6日重复2017年12月10日考题，2021年3月21日重复2019年5月19日考题，2021年3月24日重复2018年6月10日考题，2021年3月27日重复2019年11月3日考题，这提示我们在备考独立口语时，选用近5年的真题进行练习是非常有价值的。从话题分布来看，7道考题中有5道都是学习类话题，由此可见，这类话题依旧是出现频率的，是备考独立口语时的重中之重。

2017.12.10旧题复用：

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is harder to save money than it was in the past.

题目解析：

For me, I definitely agree with it, because people today have more expenditure than before. Firstly, people tend to spend more on improving the quality of life. Some of them try to eat healthier food, such as the fresh or organic one. Compared with fast food or junk food, this would be much more expensive. Others, in order to live more comfortably or have a sense of belonging, may make efforts to purchase large apartments. While as is known to all, the price of housing has rapidly increased in recent years. Additionally, people nowadays are more willing to spend money so as to improve themselves. According to the latest survey, an increasing number of people choose to pursue further study abroad, even if they have already worked for a while. However, the tuition fee of the university abroad may cost a large part of their savings.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? If some students have not received enough credits because they failed previous exams, they should be given an additional assignment by their professors to make up credits.

From my perspective, I disagree with this statement. First of all, only a strict credit policy can stimulate students’ learning. On the contrary, students will be less motivated. If students know that they could get another chance to make up the credits even if they fail the exams, they will not be as focused and engaged at the first try. This makes students lose motivation in learning. Furthermore, this policy will create additional obligations for the professor and take up his valuable time, because the professor is required to prepare extra tasks, grade the assignments, even stay after class to provide feedbacks for those who failed the previous exams. However, the professor may have other stuff of greater importance to do, such as answer students’ questions, prepare for the lessons, or do academic research.

2019.12.1旧题新考：

题目解析：

I definitely agree with this statement. First, it provides children with more opportunities to make new friends. Without electronic devices, the time commitment to other activities would increase for sure, such as playing sports, visiting museums or learning the musical instruments. Therefore, children are more likely to meet people with common interests, even make new friends and expand their social network. Furthermore, it enables children to maintain good relationship with friends and family members. According to the survey, millions of children spend more than four hours a day on electronic devices playing video games, watching short videos and listening to pop songs. They hardly have any time to communicate with friends or family members. Thus, limiting their access to electronic devices would spare more time to build up the relationship.

这道考题尽管之前没有出现过一模一样的题目，但关于class discussion的话题对于考生来说一定不陌生，如2016年4月9日考题：Do you agree or disagree that leaving some time for group discussion in class is beneficial for study? 这类题目本质就是要谈class discussion的好处与坏处，课堂讨论的好处可以讲“帮助学生集中注意力，相互学习，提升学习效果”和“促进学生之间的交流、增进感情”，坏处可能是“耗时较长导致课堂效率较低”、“学生积极性不高、不愿意参与”等。我们在备考独立口语的时候，可以分话题进行思路和语料的积累，如class discussion的话题，这样考场上遇到同类话题就可以直接使用，不需要从零开始整理思路，缩短准备时间，提高答题的稳定性。

In my opinion, I agree that teachers should encourage students to have discussion during class. First of all, this would help improve students’ learning effectiveness. For one thing, students could be more focused. They will actively listen to others’ opinion and participate in the discussion to express themselves. For another thing, students are able to learn from different perspectives and get better understating of the issue that is discussed. Second, class discussion benefits the relationship among students. It is a good opportunity that students could have more face-to-face communication regarding the academic issue. 2019.5.19旧题复用：

题目解析：

For my part, I agree that showing students the videos of experiments is a better choice. Firstly, it’s safer for the students because they do not have to touch those dangerous chemicals. Some of them are extremely toxic, while others may be explosive. Watching the videos of experiments helps to avoid both situations, which could be more beneficial for students, or even the school. In addition, the school is able to save money by letting students watch videos instead of carrying out the experiments on their own. The school never has to spend money on building labs or purchase expensive equipment such as the microscope. The expense could be saved for other projects like building a new library or renovating the academic buildings.

Besides, it enables students to review the key points before exams, and this will improve their study effectiveness. Second, watching lectures online helps students save time. They do not have to go to school, which saves them a lot of commuting time. Under this case, students can make full use of the time to do other things of greater significance, such as finding internship and accumulating working experience or attending social activities and expanding circle of friends.
