6.不同动物在迁移的过程当中，它消耗的能量的多少差别是非常大的。在陆地上移动的动物，往往消耗能量是最大的。因为在研究人类的过程当中，就会发现人类在行走的时候消耗了非常多的能量。人类每公斤重量所消耗的能量，是其他动物的好几倍。因为水支撑了鱼类的一个体重，或者说浮力的原因，使得鱼类在运动的时候所消耗的能量其实是很少的。因为它只需要产生动能来克服自己的阻力就可以了。而且很多水里面的动物的密度与水的密度是相近的。因此水本身所产生的浮力，就可以将这些动物的重力给轻松化解掉了。

而像天鹅这种动物，在游泳的时候会有一部分身体露在水面的外面。因此当他游泳的时候，所消耗的能量也会比鱼多好几倍。因为这些动物在向前游动的过程当中，在水面上会产生很多的水波。就像传播设计师所知道的那样，穿前面的波浪越大船推进就越困难。因此这些动物在水面上游动的时候，需要克服各方面所带来的阻力。因此在水中游泳的动物阻力才小，而在水面上游泳的动物阻力大。而当人类在陆地上奔跑的时候，人类的肌肉既要支撑人身体的重量，还要去克服关节所带来的摩擦，而且还要不停的加速和减速。这些过程都会使肌肉消耗大量的能量。人走每一步都会有加速和减速的过程。在减速的过程当中，一些肌肉会消耗大量的能量来减轻振动。而当人迈出一步的时候，又会消耗大量的能量来提速。但是在游泳和飞行的过程当中，这些动物在拍打翅膀的时候，往往节奏是比较统一的，因此加速和减速都不是特别大。这个过程消耗的能量就比较小。
