Task 1 --- 20160821大陆考题

Which of the following period do you consider is the most difficult one: Childhood, teen period, or adulthood?

思路1  如果选择“teen period”，举一个我们学习或校园生活上觉得challenging或者frustrating的例子，说明teen period实在太难了！可运用词汇有: heavy loads of subjects, stressful study pace, peer pressure, peer relationship。

YOU CAN SAY

I think teen period is the toughest, because we are often required to try new things and step out of our comfort zone, and this process can be overwhelmingly stressful. For example, in my high school period, when the school was holding New Year celebration party,I was pushed to perform on the stage. It was tough for me since I had never performed in front of people. I became so nervous that I couldn’t eat properly before the show begun, and when I was on the stage, my palms were sweaty and my arms were heavy.I barely survived it.

思路2  如果选择adulthood，其实大部分人的日常生活都是工作赚钱还贷款节奏，我们的主题可以是：We have to shoulder more responsibilities and this can be stressful and challenging。

YOU CAN SAY

For example, they need to make money to support their family, spend time educating kids while take care of their aging parents at the same time. They also have to compete fiercely in workplace for promotion or a pay rise. Especially in the cosmopolitan cities like Beijing, where the living standards are exorbitant, and the living pressure for adults is overwhelming.

Task 2 --- 20180512大陆考题

Do you agree or disagree that it is not good for children to know too soon about life’s difficulties？Give specific reasons to support your answer.

思路  小孩子在child-parent relationship中常处于弱势地位，我们可表达观点：It’s never too soon to live through the difficulties。

YOU CAN SAY

I believe it is beneficial and necessary for children to learn about the difficulty of life as soon aspossible, since difficulty is the unavoidable part of every individual’s life.Young as the children are, they still need to be aware of that fact and consciously learn to deal with their difficulties, such as how to handle practical problems independently, how to comfort the nerves when parents are absent. After all, it takes difficulties to make a man out of a boy.
