2019年是托福大变革的一年，除了考试内容的改革以外，众多政策调整也给考生带来了许多惊喜，如MyBestScore、新增下午场、加快出分时间。12月ETS又带来了新的改变，那就是调整托福考试报名截止时间：从12月16日起，网上注册托福考试的最后截止期限由考前4天延长至考前2天；退转考的最后期限由原来的考前10天延长至考前4天。这一政策改动可谓相当贴心了，考前2天才截止报名为大家提供了更多的时间选择，如果想临时加报托福考试，也变得更为方便；退考转考截止时间的延长，也让因为突发状况不得不紧急改变考试计划的考生有了更多调整的余地。

总体来说，12月份的独立口语以新题为主，重复考题较少，但是大多数题目还是可以通过常用思路来解答的。因此，考生在准备独立口语的时候要学会总结思路和举一反三，同一思路和展开细节往往都是可以用于多道题目的，这样，练一道题就可以达到练多道题的目的，让练习的效率更高。

From my perspective, parents should definitely limit their children’s access to social media. First of all, this will save children a lot of time. The social media of different kinds can be addictive, and many children spend hours on them every day. If parents limit the use of social media, their children are able to take advantage of the time to do something meaningful, such as reading or exercising. In addition, some information on the social media can exert negative effect on children’s long-term development. At present, there are many violent video clips spreading online. Children who access the information for a long time may be negatively influenced, both physically and mentally.

For me, I prefer the job with low salary but does not require working overtime. Firstly, I will have more time to relax myself. Working sometimes can be demanding and exhausting. Therefore, it is of great significance to find a way releasing pressure after the work. However, it can only be realized with a job requiring less working time. Secondly, I will have more opportunity to socialize with others and expand my social circle in this case. On the contrary, if I took a job that always requires me to work overtime, I would never have a chance to make new friends, because all my leisure time has been occupied by the endless work.

Personally speaking, graduate students should only be the teaching assistants rather than teach some basic lessons. First, they may lack the professional knowledge and teaching experience necessary for them to be good teachers. Graduate students are still on the way to pursue various kinds of knowledge. Thus, they are not mature enough to teach lessons independently. Furthermore, graduate students may feel overwhelmed if the extra teaching work is added to their already tight schedule. Nowadays, graduate students have been burdened with tons of schoolwork. If they are asked to teach some lessons, this will occupy much of their spare time and increase more pressure for them.

Personally, I would like to watch exciting and entertaining movies. First, it provides a good opportunity to release pressure from my daily life. Almost every week day, I spend more than twelve hours on my work. To be honest, I need a way to relax myself on weekends, and watching entertaining movies would be a satisfactory choice. Moreover, watching entertaining movies could improve the relationship between my friends and me. Most of my friends enjoy the movies that intend to entertain. If I watch those movies too, we could have more common topics, which will bring us closer.

For my part, I prefer to go to the museum by myself. First of all, it would be more convenient. In my opinion, it is unnecessary for parents to discourage their children from doing competitive jobs. First, parents should respect their children’s choice. Children are more likely to feel motivated if they could do something they really enjoy. As a result, they will work very hard to improve themselves and eventually make their dreams come true. What’s more, doing the jobs that children like will enhance their sense of happiness. Although it is possible for them to feel depressed at times, the productive results will finally prove to be worth the efforts. By contrast, if the children are forced to do something they dislike, they may feel suffered every single day.
