Some people believe that animals should be respected as humans are. Do you agree or disagree?
范文A:
From my point of view, I definitely agree with it. Animals have emotions just like humans do. Many animals in circus are being treated unfairly, and they are beaten and tamed so that they would follow human’s instructions to perform in front of audiences. But this is morally wrong because animals feel pain, fear, pleasure, and motherly love, so they surely deserve to live their lives free from suffering and exploitation. On top of that, a huge number of animals are endangered due to illegal hunting. Some people hunt elephants for ivory and shark for fins. Not only do they ignore the laws, but also they are not treating these animals humanely. Some species have already died out because of that. Humans should value animals’ lives because every creature is unique in this world.
范文B:
In my opinion, I disagree with it. Almost all of us grew up eating meat, going to zoos, and using animal products, such as wool and silk. We never think about the impact of these actions on the animals involved, and it might be tough to accept the fact, but the truth is a lot of us use animals to make our life better almost every single day, and we are unlikely to grant them the same right as human. Apart from that, animals do not have the capability to contemplate their actions like humans do. We often hear some news saying that animals bite or hurt humans for no apparent reasons, and that’s because animals are born with wild nature and unable to control themselves. So apparently, they are not supposed to be treated and respected as humans are.

When giving feedbacks to students, some teachers would like to talk to their students in person, while some teachers would give written comments to students. Which do you prefer and why?
范文A:
Personally speaking, I think giving feedbacks in person is better. First of all, effective communication is guaranteed this way. If students have any questions about the feedback, they could just ask teachers questions right away, and teachers would be able to explain immediately as well, which could avoid misunderstanding and enhance efficiency. In addition, it ensures that students would know the feedback from teachers. Sometimes, students might forget to read the written comments if they have some other things to be up to. In this case, students would not be able to correct the mistakes which they made in their assignment. Consequently, they are unlikely to improve. Therefore, receiving feedbacks by having a face to face communication is conducive to students’ academic performance.
范文B:
From my perspective, I prefer to have written comments. First of all, it is more effective. As a student, I have a very tight schedule at school, which means it is very hard for me to have a face to face conversation with teachers due to the time factor. So if I could just pick up the written feedback at the teacher’s office and read it whenever I have free time, it would be more flexible for me. On top of that, it is beneficial to teachers as well. As we all know, teachers are occupied with tons of stuff, for instance, they are responsible for preparing lessons and grading students’ assignments. Setting up a time and talking to students individually is too big of a time commitment.
