20210110托福写作考题解析-肖曼

考古生物类是托福综合写作考试频率较高的一种话题类型,且难度一般高于普通生物类,因为其中涉及到了考古类:一方面存在较为复杂的时态变化,一般存在一般现在时,一般过去时,过去完成时和现在完成时的变化,建议学生们备考时碰到此类话题时,仔细分析原听力和阅读文本之中时态的运用,判断其范围,以帮助纠正自己的时态错误。 

 

另一方面,可能会涉及到难度较高的生物类相关词汇,比如本篇会出现的关于大脑(brain),神经(nerve),骨架(skeleton)等,需要在练习时多多积累。

题目解析:

这道题为普通的同意与否,为20190615原题,2020年一整年段原题重复率高达四分之三,其中重复了很多2019年原题,同学们可以将过往年份的题目都看一看,思考一下观点。这样考试时碰到原题,可以更快确定好思路,节省时间。

 

工作成功话题考得不太多,一般考察角度为就业选择和工作满意度。有些同学还没有经历过职场,可能会因为缺乏相关的经验而不知道该怎么写,但其实Job satisfaction简单从字面意思去理解就可以了——对工作的满意程度,喜欢这个工作。影响我们对工作的满意度的原因:收入(钱),工作环境,工作压力(健康),同事/上级(人际关系),晋升途径,能力提升(技能),对私人生活的影响…

 

之后再来考虑“周末和假期”这个特殊时间, 思考的角度就更多偏向于工作对我们私人生活的影响。因为这些时候,我们一般都是在休息,陪伴家人/朋友,做一些爱好和业余活动等等。那么,不给我们发工作邮件是否会对我们有好的影响呢?答案是有的

 

参考如下范文:

Nowadays, a large portion of people works overtime on a regular basis, and more and more people have to step away from dinner to deal with business calls. Apparently, work has become a state of mind and not something we do from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in one location. Some people believe that such phenomenon is leading to increasingly high dissatisfaction among workers and high turnover, so it is necessary to prohibit sending emails or messages to employees when they are off work. From my perspective, it is a good idea.

Initially, prohibiting getting contact with employees in their private time provides opportunities for employees to enjoy their personal life, which is beneficial to their working performance. Being uninterrupted, people can immerse themselves to reading a book, watching a interesting movie, playing a game with their children or friends, or just lying down to idle away their time, during which employees can let off steam and refresh their mind. Balanced, happy employees can be ultimately more productive and motivated. In contrast, if a company – either consciously or unconsciously – destroys an employee’s private life with too much overtime or an unnatural amount of pressure, it will inevitably result in dissatisfaction and stress that can then lead to health problems, decreased productivity, and alienation from the company.

Furthermore, stopping bothering staff with working emails or messages can show a signal to employees that they are respected and valued, thus contributing to the reduction of discontent. Most employees need a sense of appreciation both for themselves and their work in order to positively identify with the workplace. This appreciation should include both intangible rewards like praise, as well as being perceived and treated with dignity. If a company ignores this point and require its employees to be put on standby disregarding their needs for leisure time, the employee may then find it difficult to avoid letting the frustration of their work life seep in to their personal life. They would feel that their life is invaded and can not have a sense of belonging to the company.

Admittedly, being unable to get access to employees when there is something emergency would be troublesome. Unexpected things such as receiving a letter of complaint from a VIP consumer may happen, when immediate responses would be more appreciated. If we can not contact the employee who is responsible, a minor problem may be aggravated to become a big issue. However, such problems can be solved by avoiding taking rest on the dame days to make sure that there is always someone on service. For example, part of the workers can be off-work on Monday and Sunday, while the others on Saturday and Friday.
