天气话题一直是雅思口语的常客，在19年的1月以及5月的时候都作为P1出现了，而在21年的1月题库中更是以P2的身份出现在题库中:Describe a kind of weather you like。而很多同学对于天气虽然能说一些内容但是往往局限于一些基本的天气种类例如rainy, sunny, windy等等，而缺乏进一步补充说明的词汇与技巧。这篇文章将首先补充语言语料，然后从2个不同的方向上去探讨P2的天气题如何回答。
1. 词汇以及短语
除去大家都耳熟能详的sunny,rainy,windy,cloudy之外还有哪些是常见的对于天气的描述呢。
有了这些天气，我们就可以用以下的一些形容词来描述对应的天气了。
对于一些公认的好天气例如sunny, cloudless,breezy我们可以夸赞的词汇除了常见的good,great,nice,fine之外，还有非常常用的一些词汇:
lovely, beautiful, wonderful, excellent, gorgeous, fair, pleasant. 他们都可以翻译成好天气。
使用起来则是:What a lovely sunny day!
对于一些公认的坏天气例如stormy, windy我们则可以用一些负面的词汇。除了常见的bad,awful,terrible之外，我们也可以使用一些感情色彩更强的词汇：
nasty 恶心的，lousy 恶劣的，foul 恶臭的，令人不快的
rotten 腐烂的，非常糟糕的, miserable 令人痛苦的，令人不舒服的
unpleasant 令人不快的, dull 阴沉的，令人无聊的
gloomy 昏暗的, overcast阴沉的，多云的
使用起来则是: I’m sick of this kind of dull and rotten weather.
对于严寒天气我们则根据严寒的严重程度依次有cool凉爽的，cold冷的，chilly寒冷的的，freezing冻人的，frigid严寒的
对于干燥的天气我们可以说dry/arid,对于潮湿的天气我们则可以说wet,humid,对于闷热的天气我们可以说sticky黏糊糊的,muggy闷热潮湿的
此外有一个a spell of + good/sunny/rainy.... weather则可以很好的表示一阵，例如尤其喜欢久旱逢甘雨的天气，可以表示为I am really into rainy days, especially one or two spells of drizzling days after continuous dry weather.
2. Part 2部分
这一次考试的Describe a kind of weather you like可能对于一些次见到这种类型的题目的同学会有一些难度，仿佛总可以说一两句，但是要说到两分钟总感觉很难。这里提供两种答题思路供大家参考。
l 讲故事
对于这一题我们依然可以用一个发生在自己身上的故事来回应这个故事，但是强烈建议用自己亲身经历的故事来说否则非常容易变成无情的背答案机器。此外在选取故事的时候需要时刻记住在故事中强调这个天气所代表的一种内心的情感，通常这个天气的选择越具体越好，因为当我们提及类似“每当我再经历某某天气我都会想起那一天发生的事”的时候，太过于宽泛的天气会让人觉得这段回忆非常“廉价”。最后，在描述的过程中别忘记强调天气的重要性哦，否则会出现考官反问你“是不是背错答案了”的要命情形。
Sample Answer
The weather that I love from the bottom of my heart is rainy day especially when it’s dark and drizzling. Well it’s mainly because that’s the day I met my girl for the first time.
It was about 8 or 9 months ago on a gloomy and rainy day when I was waiting in the lounge of the teaching build of my college alone that my goddess came into my view. For some reason I got my umbrella with me, maybe it was some hints（暗示，提示） from Cupid I guess? Anyway, I waited there, browsing news on the phone. Suddenly, like I was hit by a magic, I took a glimpse to the entrance. Here I saw a lonely, cute, and helpless girl standing there. She is so gorgeous that I couldn't move my eyes off from her. Immediately I realized that‘I’m falling’. She was a little bit embarrassed cos I noticed that she frowned slightly. But even her frown was so fascinating. I hesitated for a couple of seconds till I got up the nerve（鼓起勇气） to walk towards her and said: Would you like me to walk you to the dorm? Only god knows how excited I was when I got the positive answer!
The rest part the story goes just like a movie and she is my girlfriend now. Thank god it was rainy that day and even nowadays whenever it drizzles it always reminds that day. So if you ask me what kind of weather I like most now? My answer is definitely drizzling days.
l 讲道理
理性分析喜欢某种天气对于此题当然也是完全可行的，就像命题作文中的记叙文与散文的区别。除了讲故事，以类似散文的方式抒发对某一种天气的偏好也完全是可行的。但是对比上面讲故事来说难度稍微高一些，因为在行文中需要时不时穿插一些过去的回忆来支撑一些论点，而这就涉及了现在时和过去时的反复切换，需要一定的时态处理功底。但是此外只要你的感情是真的，有时候逻辑上有一些跳跃在口语中也是完全可以接受的。
Sample Answer
I like snowy days the most.
It’s firstly because I’m a big fan of snowy views. This kind of preference is gradually formed through years of exposure to documentaries about geography. When I was a child I usually watched the Discovery Channel at night, almost every single day. Even though I was asked to go to back since those programme were usually played after 10 P.M, I’d always sneak into the living room and turned on the TV and immediately turned down the volume and sat there for another 2 hours.
I like those all those things and landscapes covered by snows no matter what they looked like originally . Houses covered by the snow is just like chocolates coated with icing to me. Grasslands covered by the snow is just like creamy toppings on the cake. It is so amazing for me to connect those snowy views with foods and everything in my life. My imagination flies and I really enjoy this feeling.
The second reason may sounds a little bit realistic. It’s because when it snows heavily students like I was can go home earlier. The best news as a students can ever receive is the announcement from the school about having a day off（放假一天）. So when I was a student, whenever I heard from the weather forecast that there would be a heavy snow the next day, I’d always have a good dream.
