剑14版的大作文题目，不知道同学们有没有认真看看？Test1问的是不好的境况，要不要去改变？很宽泛的一个题目，所以很多方面都可以去写。不过，也可以就题目中提示大家的方面去写。Test3的题目很新颖，问的是音乐是否让不同民族、不同年龄段的人聚在一起？把文化艺术类、社会类（涉及不同年龄段交友）及全球化类（涉及不同民族）融合在一起。Test4也会让人眼前一亮，谈的是自主创业而不是替老板打工的问题。以此来看雅思官方想告诉大家，他们很注重与时俱进，不想让大家背背高频话题的范文就可以屠鸭成功。
而与前面三道题不同的是，Test2考察的为高频话题，题目如下：
Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important environmental problems. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. (C14T2)
这个题目问的是动植物的灭绝是不是最重要的环境问题？的确是看起来寻常的环境类题目，但仔细思考起来不那么寻常，是不是在历年真题中并没有见到过？这个就是我们需要注意的，因为往往常见的话题容易被我们疏忽，而去花大量的时间去琢磨新题和难题。
我们一般见到的题目是值不值得投入那么多的精力和金钱保护动植物？值不值得采取行动去阻止气候变化？采取行动保护动植物是否有效？采取行动保护环境是否有效？生活方式（消费、娱乐和出行等方面）的改变对环境有哪些影响？谁可以保护环境？浏览了2009-2019年的雅思大作文题目，我们也没有思考过环境问题中的哪些问题是重要的，哪些问题是不重要的呀！最后三类环境类（采取行动保护环境是否有效？生活方式（消费、娱乐和出行等方面）的改变对环境有哪些影响？谁可以保护环境？）题目，跟C14T2的关联度不高，暂时省去讲解。那么不妨让我们聚焦在前面三类题目。
类问题：值不值得投入那么多的精力和金钱保护动植物？
1. People think that too much attention and too many resources have been given to the protection of wild animals and birds. To what extent do you agree or disagree? (20150131)
2. Some people say that too much money and time are spent on protecting wild animals. Wild animals have no place in the 21st century, so protecting them is a waste of resources. Such resources should be better spent on human population. To what extent do you agree or disagree? (20190223)
3. Many animal species in the world are becoming extinct nowadays. Some people say that countries and individuals should protect these animals from dying out, while others say we should concentrate more on problems of human beings. Discuss both views and give your opinion. (20110709)
如果认为目前投入在动植物身上的精力和金钱是值得的，就要谈个别动植物的灭绝会导致很多动植物的灭绝，那么森林、海洋、土壤及空气等都会受到影响，我们人类的生存也会受到影响。而且我们也不能欣赏到大自然独特的风光，那么放松身心的方式减少了，获取灵感的渠道也减少了甚至消失了。这些答题思路可以回应C14T2的方观点，但是第二方观点无从说起。那么我们继续看看第二类问题。
第二类问题：值不值得采取行动去阻止气候变化？
Some people think that instead of preventing climate change, we need to find a way to live with it. To what extent do you agree or disagree? (20160716)
如果认为应该采取行动阻止气候的变化，那么需要回答为什么需要阻止。气候变化让很多人及动植物无法适应天气，进而身体抵抗力下降，容易生病；气候变化让一些人及动植物失去了原本的生存空间，流离失所，甚至在迁移的过程中有生命安全方面的问题。这些思路都是可以的，而且可以回应C14T2的第二方观点。那么为什么“more important environmental problems”是气候变化呢？因为气候变化尤其是严重的气候变化，不仅威胁到大面积动植物的生存，也威胁到到大片大片区域人的生存。
到这里为止，C14T2的问题，可以基本上回应了。但是如果有同学认为动植物的灭绝不是最重要的环境问题，而且只就物种本身这个角度着手的话，可以从哪些真题中获得灵感呢？这个时候，我们再看看第三类问题。
第三类问题：采取行动保护动植物是否有效？
1. Human activities have negative effects on plants and animal species. Some people think that it is too late to do anything about this problem. Other people believe that effective measures can be taken to improve this situation. Discuss both views and give your opinions. (20111210/20160218/20190601)
2. Some people think it is necessary to use animals for testing medicines intended for human use. Others, however, think it is cruel to do that. Discuss both these views and give you own opinion. (20100911)
3. In modern world, it is no longer necessary to use animals for food or use animal products, for instance, clothing and medicines. To what extent do you agree or disagree? (20120428/20160312)
4. Some people claim that it is acceptable to use animals in medical research for the benefit of human beings, while other people argue that it is wrong. Discuss both views and give your opinion. (20130418)
对于题目1，如果认为保护动植物的行动太晚了，可以说根据优胜劣汰，有些动植物很难在目前的环境里继续生存繁衍。当然还有别的思路可以回应这个观点，我在这里不细谈了。抓住“优胜劣汰”，可以回应“main environmental problem“不是”loss of particular species of plants and animals“，因为某些动植物的消失是自然而然的，我们顺应自然规律就可以啦。对于题目2,3和4，如果认为没有必要拿动物做实验、做药品、做衣服及做食品的话，可以说新的科技手段让我们摆脱了对动植物的依赖。例如，我们只需要在早期储存有用的基因，利用克隆技术等，就可以满足我们对某些动植物用途上面的需求。这个思路也可以用来回应“main environmental problem“不是”loss of particular species of plants and animals“，因为在某种程度上人类可以承担起动植物消失的代价。
所以如果同学们写到这个题目的话，不要指望曾经写过的文章直接套上。因为曾经写过的题目，都是一次性只讨论环境问题的一个方面，不是多个方面的比较。同学们需要在屠鸭之路上，多注意批判性思维的培养。要找出“more important environmental problems”，就要找出影响范围更大或者更短时间内就能导致不良后果的问题，也可以说“the loss of particular species of plants and animals”是我们不用杞人忧天的自然现象，而且某种程度上相关的损失是我们可以承担的。
